Lew and I just returned home from our church choir's "Shout to the North" two-night concert tour.
Our church sends short-term mission teams to Guatemala several times a year, and "Shout to the North" helps raise money for those trips. It is really great to have other church's partner with us in this effort!
We stayed overnight at a hunting camp last night. The guys were all in one cabin, and the gals had two cabins. (For those of you who are wondering.....YES, there was electricity and indoor plumbing!) The folks that own the camp definitely have the gift of hospitality. They fed us a late meal after last night's concert, breakfast this morning, and then lunch before our afternoon concert today. The food was SO delicious, and there was plenty of it. For today's concert, I had to loosen the belt on my dress slacks by one notch.
It was fun to spend some time with our choir friends. We laughed a lot. About what? Well....what happens at "Shout to the North" stays at "Shout to the North." (OK, that last line was just an attempt to include more levity in my post.)
We had a great time.
And we are tuckered out. So, g'nite!
