Room for the Groom

As I mentioned in an earlier post, "Phase 3" of this past weekend was our hosting Matt and his groomsmen here at our home before the wedding.

Lew cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, and the guys hung out for a few hours watching sports on TV and enjoying each other's company.

We had planned to leave the house around 3:00 for the wedding.  At 2:20, all of the guys were still sitting in the living room -- including Lew, who needed to shower!  I strongly encouraged Lew to GET A MOVE ON!

Matt and his buddies headed upstairs, too, to get dressed for the wedding.  They used the back room as their "locker room."  The back room is where Lew's old gym equipment had been, and where our new equipment will be delivered tomorrow.  So, it happened to be fairly empty for Matt's big day!  There was plenty of room for the guys to change.  It was one of those, "Gee, didn't that work out well?!" wedding highlights.

It was shortly after 3:00 when one of the groomsmen realized....well, I'll leave that for tomorrow's post.  Stay tuned!
