Dad: Unedited XLIX

(Good luck, Josh!  Good luck, Nathan!  GO BRUINS!  Enjoy Dad's post.  -- Tracy)

Derf Here!  From a "sunny" morning in the Northeast.  The first one in modern memory.  It has been a "sunless" week.  Nothing new for June!

It's been a busy week at the household as the school days are running out  The baseball/lacrosse season is ending and we await the baseball "All-Star" season.

Zack's team ended his lacrosse schedule Saturday with a split.  He scored his third goal of the year in the win.  As he was walking around the bench area I called to him.  When he looked at me, I gave him a "thumbs-up."  His response was to look up at us with his arms stretched out.  He said, "Another goal by me."  Another chuckle from Zack's actions.

Josh's team is in the playoffs.  He pitched the first game into extra innings.  They went two extra innings for a 2-1 win.  It was a very well-played game.  Some great plays as the leather looked like Dustin Pedroia.  We're prepared to go to a playoff game this afternoon.  A win puts them in the final -- a loss ends the season.  What will it be?  Stay tuned!

Sox (Red) lost last night after a nine-game win streak.  Tonight we'll watch the Sox as a secondary game as most of the area will be on the Bruins as they play one last game for the Stanley Cup.  GO BRUINS!!!

Nathan Hopkins, a good friend of the family, will be playing lacrosse for Scarborough High School today as they attempt to defend their Western Maine title.  A win allows them to play for the state title Saturday.  They are defending state champions.  Kaelen has the day off and will take Zack to the game as he attempts to pick up pointers from the varsity-level players.  We wish Nate's team success.  Hope Nate does well.

Talked to sister Deb yesterday and she will leave Florida Thursday for her two-week trip to Maine.  Niece Kathy, just home from the birth of her grandson, will fly to Florida from Indy to accompany Deb to Indy for a visit with sister Jean.  Grandson's name:  Isaac Gordon Henson.  I guess I better get the water running in Deb's cottage.  Hopefully tomorrow!  Drive carefully and have a good trip.

I think that catches everything up to date.  I must add that we all hope for a successful choral week in Eureka, Illinois for Joe, Kim, and the campers.  I'll even wish Kelsey well in her drum major camp.  Not so sure about her cheerleader camp.

Until next time;

Toodle Pip!

Derf!

P.S.  Emily, thanks for finally posting!  Twice in five days -- WOW!
