As we all know, there is a Sunday every year when we "fall back." We turn the clocks back by an hour at 2 a.m., making that particular day 25 hours long. One could suggest this is the longest day of the year.
Not so, I say.
The longest day of the year is really the Monday after we "spring ahead." While at work today, I measured the passage of time according to my biological clock--which has not yet done any "springing."
And it was a VERY long day!
(Postscript: Perhaps we should introduce a new holiday, similar to Super Bowl Convalescence Day....)
