In about an hour I begin a 48-hour stint as hostess. Pastor Dave and Laura have entrusted their two young daughters to my and Lew's care.
Yesterday I put fresh linens on the bed in the guestroom.
Today I put a clean tablecloth on the dining room table. I then set up two "stations" -- one for eating, one for doing art projects.
Laura stopped by this morning with the girls' suitcases and a list of detailed instructions regarding the activities of the next couple days.
Lew is making grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner tonight and pancakes for Saturday's breakfast. The ice cream shop just down the street (not the Dairy Corner) opens tomorrow, so we are going to get ice cream! Yum!
I am grateful for my young friends. Smile!
