Lew's Logbook: Last Game of the Year

(Lew writes today. Enjoy! ~ Tracy)

The Red Sox may have a lot of games left to play, but for Little League Team Jukado, today was the last game of the season.

Adam and Eli got to play on the same team this year (instructional league) and their coach was Daddy.

Eli told me before the game started that he wasn’t going to play today. He didn’t feel like it. After a short chat with Coach Daddy, he picked up his glove and took the field. I don’t know what Coach said but I’m sure it was very inspirational.

The team had a perfect record. Every player reached base each time they came to the plate. Coach pitched to his own players and I think his ERA was about 20. It may not be the highest level of baseball play but it was fun to watch.

I have included a picture of the team. At a glance you will note that they are a fine bunch of well-trained athletes.

Adam is 2nd from left. Eli is in the middle, sitting next to Coach.
