A Television Tale

When Mom transitioned from the short-term stay side to the long-term care side of the nursing home, we had to provide a television for her. (Only the short-term patient rooms have a TV.) Brittany, a co-worker, had a TV she wanted to get rid of and it was the right size for what Mom needed. Brittany didn't want any money for the TV. It was a generous gift!

The remote control for "Brittany's TV" disappeared a few months ago. The nursing home staff did try to find it, but Dad ended up bringing in a universal remote control to replace it.

Last Sunday the picture on Brittany's TV finally went. This TV served Mom well for almost a year and a half, but it was time to retire it. Lew had been wanting to get a new set for our bedroom, so we brought our old set to Mom's room. It is the right size and works well for her.

When I went to visit Mom the next day, I saw the remote control for her "new" TV on her bedside stand. Guess what was beside it? The remote for Brittany's TV! 😄

(P.S. Lew and I bought a new TV for our bedroom at Sam's Club.)
