Although some other areas in Maine received significant snowfall, we did not. It snowed here, but it was a small amount.
The weather forecasters usually "over-anticipate" the severity of storms. These folks are often disappointed when the storm is more of a fizzle. (Although I will admit that their predictions were pretty accurate this winter.)
When I worked at the university, I was okay with lots of snow. Reason: SNOW DAY! Full pay for no work.
Now that I don't work at the university, I am happy when the snowfall is insignificant. My reason is not quite as selfish, but self-centered nonetheless: CLEAR ROADS. Maybe that's not totally self-centered: I don't know anyone who prefers driving on snow-covered roads!
